Darrel R. Deo received his BS degree in Robotics Engineering from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 2013, and his MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 2015. Darrel is currently a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. He is currently a Mona M. Burgess PhD Fellow of Stanford’s Bio-X Institute. His academic interests include brain-computer interfaces, neuroprosthetics, neuroengineering, neuromechanics, haptics, and motor control. Outside academia, he enjoys writing and performing poetry and music, making wine, meditating at the beach, hiking, and spending time with family.
